Tabish Hashmi calls out Ahmad Ali Butt for Malala post

TV host and stand-up comedian Tabish Hashmi recently responded to actor and comedian Ahmad Ali Butt, after he criticised Nobel prize winner Malala Yousafzai for not speaking up about the Iranian girls killed in the US-Israeli attack on an all-girls school last month.
Butt had previously taken to his experience to question Malala’s silence regarding the attacks. He wrote, “More than 160 girls were killed by the US on the first day of the war, still waiting for this puppet to say anything”.
Hashmi responded to this take on his Instagram story by sharing a screenshot of Malala’s statement on X on March 1, where she condemned the attack.
“I am heartbroken and appalled by the US and Israeli strikes on Iran, including reports that a girls’ school in southern Iran was hit”, she wrote on X.
Yousafzai went on to say that her heart is with the children, families, and communities affected by the escalation in the region.

On February 28, a missile attack hit an all-girls school, killing more than 170 people, mostly schoolgirls. Since then, an investigation by Amnesty International has blamed the US for the attack.
