Washington: The US has demanded an answer from India for the attempt to kill a citizen of its territory.
US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell said in response to a question in an online briefing that an attempt was made to kill an American citizen on American soil. India’s involvement in this conspiracy is being investigated.
The Deputy US Secretary of State further said that he has discussed with India the plot to kill a Sikh citizen. India has responded to US concerns. India has made it clear that America wants an answer on this matter. India has been asked to inform about the progress on the issue of attempted murder of a Sikh citizen on our soil.
Curt Campbell said Indian authorities are also considering institutional reforms after allegations of an assassination plot.
