Wanted to get the target early but the pitch did not support, Babar Azam

New York:  The captain of the national team has said on the victory against Canada that this victory was necessary for us, we wanted to finish the match early but it could not be done.

Babar Azam talking to the media after securing the first win against Canada by 7 wickets credited the bowlers as the win was essential for the national team.

He said that we bowled well from the start and the bowlers performed brilliantly to restrict Canada to 106 runs. Babar Azam said that we wanted to achieve this target in 13.5 overs so that the run rate would be better than America but it could not be done due to the difficult pitch.

He said that for the next match Florida’s conditions are better than New York and we will enter the field thinking of victory against Ireland and all the players will play for victory.

It should be noted that in the match played in New York, Canada gave Pakistan a target of 107 runs to win, which the national team achieved in 17.3 overs with the loss of three wickets, Muhammad Rizwan remained unbeaten by scoring 53 runs.
