T20 World Cup; Did the number of cricket fans increase in America?
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the T20 World Cup 2024 has increased the number of fans watching cricket in the United States.
Over 22,000 people attended the 4 T20 World Cup matches in Texas, with American fans also watching their team make history by defeating Pakistan at the same ground.
New York’s Nassau County Stadium was the largest in terms of capacity, with a record 34,028 fans attending the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan on 9 June in a low-scoring thriller.
31 thousand 722 cricket fans watched the match on the same ground to watch the India vs USA match, while in total more than 165 thousand fans visited the stadium.

It should be noted that 16 ICCT20 World Cup matches were played in three locations in the United States, these grounds included Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Florida.
