North Sound Antigua: South Africa set a new record for consecutive victories in the T20 World Cup.
According to the details, in this edition, the Proteas won 7 matches in a row and reached the semi-finals for the first time since 2014, which is the longest winning streak by any team in a World Cup edition.
Earlier, Sri Lanka (2009), Australia (2010) and (2021) have won 6 consecutive matches.
So far, only Nepal has given a tough time to South Africa in the recent mega event, against which the team narrowly won by just one run.
In the tournament, Proteas defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets, Netherlands by 4 wickets, Bangladesh by 4 runs, Nepal by 1 run, USA by 18 runs, England by 7 runs and West Indies by 3 wickets.
