ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed the central secretariat of Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad and demolished the illegal constructions while PTI leader Aamir Mughal was arrested and shifted to an unknown location.
According to the details, the CDA team conducted an operation along with a heavy contingent of police and sealed the office by eradicating the illegal constructions and encroachments on the central secretariat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
According to CDA officials, an additional floor was also constructed on the plot in violation of building by-laws. PTI leaders, chairman reached the central office as soon as the news of the sealing of the central secretariat spread.
CDA officials said that encroachments and illegal constructions were established on the plot by a political party established in Sector G8/4, the said plot has been allotted to a person named Sartaj Ali, whose land was encroached upon. were done.
Officials say that several other violations were also committed by the owner of the plot, for which notices were issued several times along with warnings, the first notice was issued on 19 November 2020 and the second notice was issued on 22 February 2021. Another notice to remove violations was issued on June 14, 2022 and a show cause notice was issued on September 4, 2023 for non-removal of violations.
According to the CDA officials, orders were issued to seal the plot on 10th May 2024 for non-implementation of the orders and to remove the encroachments. . The spokesperson of CDA says that the campaign to eliminate encroachments and illegal constructions will continue across the city without discrimination.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar directed the workers present at the spot to remain calm.
Talking to the media, PTI General Secretary Umar Ayub said that Aamir Mughal was standing with me, who was suddenly arrested by the police and put in a white car and transferred to an unknown place.
He raised the question why the operation of CDA took place in the darkness of night. Just like the operation is going on in Gaza, the operation was done against PTI today and just as the Israeli forces conquered Gaza in the dark of night, CDA conquered the area by sealing and demolishing the Secretariat.
Umar Ayub said that if there is any objection, we would have been contacted and given a respite, on which we would have presented the documents, we could have discussed in a good environment, but not because Imran Khan is talking about the supremacy of the constitution and law and true freedom in Pakistan. , so this thing is not looking good to the government and many personalities.
The opposition leader said that we condemn this action, we will raise this issue in the National Assembly, here my privilege and barrister Gohar have been violated, we should call the CDA officers and the IG in the Privileges Committee and ask for an answer. will
