During the National Assembly session chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan raised concerns about the raid, questioning whether an attack on Parliament was an attack on Pakistan itself.
He condemned the actions, stating, “Democracy has faced arrests before, but what happened last night, with masked men entering Parliament and arresting members, is unacceptable.”
Members of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), both government allies, also expressed their discontent, further escalating tensions over the incident.
The raid, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, has sparked calls for a thorough investigation into the actions of the masked figures and the circumstances surrounding the arrests of PTI leaders.
Islamabad police arrested PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Sher Afzal Marwat outside Parliament House following a National Assembly session on Monday.

The arrest took place over violations during PTI’s rally in Islamabad on Sunday.
The violations include disrupting the agreed route, breaching commitments, attacking Islamabad police, exceeding permitted timings, and delivering anti-state speeches.
