Bugti asserts mobs cannot overrun state

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated his government’s commitment to combating terrorism and improving governance in the province during a provincial cabinet meeting held on Wednesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Emphasising the state’s resolve against terrorism, Bugti stated that the terrorists have not just killed individuals; they have attacked Pakistan itself.

“While we are sending our youth to worldclass educational institutions like Oxford and Harvard, these terrorist organisations are misleading them towards subversive activities.” He assured that the government would not allow armed mobs to overrun the state and that the rule of law would be upheld at all costs.

In the same meeting, the provincial cabinet made key decisions to boost economic activities, particularly focusing on the fisheries sector. It approved the hiring of experts to identify a new fish harbor site, ensuring local fishermen are consulted in the process.

Additionally, a policy related to the endowment fund of the Fisheries Department was approved to enhance resources for fishermen’s welfare. The cabinet also decided to assign 100 Levies personnel to the Fisheries Department for patrolling duties, and approved an appropriate increase in fees related to solid waste management in Balochistan.
