Tehran: Voting for early presidential elections is underway in Iran.
According to Iranian media, due to the death of President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter accident, early presidential elections are being held in Iran. In the presidential election, there is competition between 4 candidates while 2 candidates have withdrawn.
Saeed Jalili, Mohammad Baqir, Masoud Pazheshkian and Mustafa Pourmohammadi are competing for the post of Iranian president. Voting for the presidential elections in Iran started at 8 am. More than 61 million eligible voters will exercise their right to vote in the presidential election. The results of the presidential election will be announced in 2 days.
