Landlord Action Committee strikes across Balochistan against loadshedding

Quetta:  A strike is going on across Balochistan by the Landlord Action Committee against electricity load shedding.

According to Express News, on the call of the Landlord Action Committee, the Quetta Taftan RCD highway in Bushki and the national highway in Mastung were blocked. Meanwhile, the Quetta-Karachi highway was completely closed at Mughal Chowk due to long queues of vehicles on both sides.

Apart from this, the national highways leading to the country from different areas of the provincial capital Quetta were closed by the Zamindar Action Committee.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Landlord Action Committee has met the Chief Minister of Balochistan. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti complained that the case of the landlords has been effectively raised before the Federation and it is regrettable to call for a strike despite the progress. He said that the case of the landlords has been taken up in the Federation as the lawyer of the landlords. The provincial government is taking serious steps to solve the problems of the landlords.

Later, Chairman Zamindar Action Committee Malik Naseer Ahmad Shahwani announced the end of the ongoing strike across the province after Friday prayers.
