Sana’a: 49 people died when a migrant boat sank near Yemen’s coastal area.
According to foreign media, 140 passengers of the boat are still missing and the search is on. 260 migrants were on board the boat that sank near Yemen. 71 passengers of the boat have been rescued. The bodies of 49 people who drowned in the incident have been recovered. Among the dead are 31 women and 6 children.
The migrants on the boat were from Ethiopia and Somalia and were trying to reach Yemen. Officials say that the rescue operation for the missing persons is going on. There is a chance in increase of casualties
