Shameful defeat of BJP in Ayodhya for building a temple in place of Babri Masjid
New Delhi: In the Indian elections, the Hindu extremist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced a humiliating defeat in Ayodhya as well.
According to Indian media, Modi’s candidate faced a humiliating defeat in the elections despite building a Ram Temple in place of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. From Faizabad constituency, BJP senior Lilu Singh was defeated by Samajwadi Party’s Odhish Prasad by 56,000 votes.
Smriti Irani, a key BJP leader and key minister in Modi’s cabinet, faced her worst defeat in Amethi. Smriti Irani, who defeated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the last election, was defeated by Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma by 372,000 votes.
On the other hand, Madhuri Latha, who spewed poison against Muslims in Hyderabad Deccan and shot a symbolic arrow at the mosque during the election campaign, was defeated by Asaduddin Owaisi with a huge margin of more than 330,000 votes.
