Israeli attack in Rafah was result of ‘tragic mistake’; Netanyahu
Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has boldly said that the deadly and horrific Israeli attack in Rafah was the result of a tragic mistake.
According to the World News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his address to the parliament that the military tries to carry out military operations without harming innocent civilians, but yesterday, despite the best efforts, a tragic mistake was made in Rafah.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza city of Rafah caused a “tragic mistake” that set fire to a camp of displaced Palestinians.
Netanyahu added that the remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah should also be destroyed, as they launched several rocket attacks on the densely populated central Israel on Sunday, but luckily there were no casualties.
Prime Minister Netanyahu did not explain what was wrong with the attack on Rafah, after the Israeli military initially said an airstrike on a Hamas compound killed two senior militant commanders.
Earlier, the prosecutor of the Israeli army also announced to start an investigation into the killing of innocent civilians in Rafah, saying that this attack is a serious matter.
It should be noted that 45 Palestinians were martyred in the attack on the Israeli camp in Rafah, while the bodies of children were also found, for which Israel is being strongly condemned at the international level, including the allied countries
