Champions Trophy 2025; Pakistan has not yet been able to prepare a Plan B
Karachi: Pakistan has not prepared any plan B for the Champions Trophy.
The Champions Trophy is to be held early next year, Pakistan will host a global event after a long time, there are question marks on the Indian team’s participation in the event, some circles are also talking about adopting a hybrid model like the Asia Cup. However, PCB insisted on its position that the competitions will be held only in Pakistan, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has also repeated this more than once.
According to the sources, Pakistan has not prepared any plan B for the event, looking at the format, it will be very difficult to adopt a hybrid model, this method has not proved to be so successful in the Asia Cup as well and so far PCB has co-hosted Sri Lanka on financial matters. And the dispute could not be resolved with the ACC.

Sources further said that Pakistan has not contacted UAE regarding co-hosting, officials are confident that the Indian team will come to play their matches. In the proposed schedule, its matches are held only in one venue, Lahore. On the other hand, it has been decided to complete the upgrading of stadiums in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi by December.
Regarding the design, the PCB has hired a foreign company, it has the honor of working in many stadiums in the past, the board has asked to make some changes in the initially prepared design, the officials believe. After the renovation, the country’s venues will be completely transformed and the fans will get a unique experience of watching cricket.
