The Israeli Foreign Minister further wrote that the contacts with the Palestinian representatives of the Spanish Consulate in Jerusalem were also severed. Palestinian representatives will also be barred from working with the Spanish consulate.

Yisrael Katz also wrote that his country has taken this action against Spain because Spain announced the recognition of Palestine as an official state yesterday.

Israeli Foreign Minister Katz called Spain’s move to recognize Palestine as a state anti-Semitic.

Remember that a day ago, Spain, Norway and Ireland announced that they will officially recognize Palestine as an independent state on May 28 because without doing so, it is impossible to establish peace in the Middle East.

Expressing indignation, Israel recalled its envoy and ambassador from Norway and Ireland on the same day and today refused to cooperate with the Spanish consulate
