Request to increase the cost of electricity by Rs 10.69 per unit for Karachi
ISLAMABAD: K Elekrak has requested to increase the basic electricity tariff by Rs 10.69 paise per unit.
K Elekrak has submitted a request to set the multi-year tariff for 2023 to 2030 in Nepra. In the petition, K Electric requested to fix the basic electricity tariff at Rs 44 69 paise per unit. The current basic average tariff of K Electric stands at Rs 34 per unit.
K Elekrak has sought an increase in the basic tariff under the 7-year multi-year tariff. The EPP component of electricity price has been requested to be set at Rs 18 88 paisa per unit while the CPP component of electricity price in the tariff has been asked to be Rs 12 54 paisa per unit.
K Electric has requested to add transmission charges of Rs 3.48, distribution charges of Rs 3.84 per unit, operation and maintenance of Rs 0.42 and retail margin of Rs 0.59 per unit. 2 rupees 88 paise per unit has been demanded as recovery loss allowance.
It has been requested to fix the working capital of Rs 2.7 paise per unit in electricity tariff. Nepra has sought feedback from stakeholders within 7 days on the request of K Elekrak
