The announcement of the national team squad for the T20 World Cup
London: The 15-member squad of the national team for the T20 World Cup 2024 has been announced.
This was announced by the National Selection Committee while holding a press conference in London. According to the selection committee, the World Cup squad includes Babar Azam (captain), Saeem Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhr Zaman, Azam Khan, Usman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Abbas Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf. and Abrar Ahmed are included.
Usman Khan, Azam Khan, Abrar Ahmed, Abbas Afridi and Saim Ayub included in the squad will play T20 World Cup for the first time.

The selection committee has said that the team is balanced which includes experienced and young cricketers, Haris Rauf is fit, his role will be very important in T20 World Cup.
The deadline for announcing the national squad for the T20 World Cup was May 24. The national team is currently busy playing a series against England for a series of four T20 matches. Later, on June 1, she will leave for America to participate in the mega event.
It should be noted that Pakistan is in Group A of the World Cup along with traditional rivals India, Ireland, Canada and USA. Pakistan will play their first match on June 6 against the host USA. The match between Pakistan and India will be played in New York on June 9 and Pakistan will face Canada on June 11. Likewise, on June 16, Pakistan will play the last group match against Ireland
