PM Shehbaz vows to sacrifice everything for national stability

During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, members of the federal cabinet reaffirmed their commitment to national stability and expressed their readiness to sacrifice everything for the country’s well-being.

The cabinet meeting also discussed preparations for celebrating Independence Day with enthusiasm and a renewed pledge to transform the nation into the Pakistan envisioned by its founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasised the need for all sectors of society to work tirelessly to make Pakistan stronger. “We will sacrifice everything for national stability, and, Insha’Allah, this country will become Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan,” he stated.

 

He highlighted the importance of reducing production costs to revitalise key sectors such as industry, agriculture, and trade. “Efforts in the power and energy sectors will benefit the nation,” the prime minister added.

Shehbaz Sharif also praised Olympian Arshad Nadeem for doubling the joy of Independence Day celebrations with his historic gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. “Nadeem is an exemplary figure for the nation,” he remarked, noting that his dedication and perseverance have elevated Pakistan’s name on the global stage.

The cabinet expressed admiration for Nadeem and has recommended him for a presidential award. The prime minister has also invited Nadeem to the Prime Minister’s House to highlight the importance of honouring national heroes.

In his address, the prime minister discussed the steps taken to improve the economy, including efforts in the energy sector. He stressed the need to reduce production costs to boost exports and make them more competitive.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasised the importance of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in improving tax collection and ensuring financial stability. He urged ministers to eliminate delays in decision-making and to continue efforts to digitise governance, aiming to make all ministries paperless.

He concluded by urging the cabinet to work collectively towards a stable Pakistan, reiterating their commitment to sacrifice for the country’s future.
