Another Bangladeshi was killed by Indian army firing on the border

Dhaka:  Indian Border Security Force personnel shot and killed a 65-year-old Bangladeshi citizen in the border area.

According to Bangladeshi media, the civilian killed by Indian Border Force firing was identified as 65-year-old Noorul Islam, a resident of Lal Munirhat district.

The incident took place late at night when some people were grazing their cattle near the Bangladeshi border.

The Indian paramilitary force opened fire without giving a chance to identify these people, in which a person named Noorul Islam was killed on the spot.

Bangladeshi Border Guards Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Mufazal Hussain confirmed the incident and said that a protest will be filed in the flag meeting over the incident.

According to the Bangladeshi human rights organization Ain O’Salesh Kendra, the number of people killed by Indian Border Force this year has exceeded 12, while more than 10 are injured.

The human rights organization has said in its report that 28 Bangladeshis were killed and 31 injured last year due to firing by Indian Border Security Force personnel.
