Increase in levy charges is likely to increase the price of petrol and diesel

Islamabad:  There is a possibility of an increase in the prices of petroleum products from July 1.

According to the sources, if the levy charges are further increased by the government, a big increase in prices is expected. Petrol is likely to be expensive by Rs 7.54 and diesel by Rs 9.84 per liter for the next 15 days.

The increase in the levy charge by Rs 5 per liter is likely to increase, which is likely to increase the price of petrol by Rs 12.54 and diesel by Rs 14.84 per litre. Sources say that the final decision on pricing will be taken on June 30 in consultation with the Finance Division.

OGRA will submit the recommendations to the government on June 30 for consideration. Prices of kerosene and light diesel oil are also likely to be affected. The price of kerosene is expected to increase by Rs 7.70 per liter and the price of light diesel by Rs 8.73 per liter.
