The angry elephants crushed the Indian army officer
New Delhi: An officer and a personnel of the paramilitary Border Security Force were killed in two separate incidents in India.
According to Kashmir media, Border Security Force sub-inspector Rajbir Singh was posted in the Garo Hills sector of the Meghalaya border and was attacked by a wild herd of elephants while on routine duty.
An Indian Border Security Force officer tried to escape from the clutches of the elephants but failed. The elephants crushed them badly.
Colleagues rushed their officer to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was sent to the native village after necessary procedures.
In another incident, 59-year-old D Samuel, an officer of the Border Security Force posted in Rajasthan, fell ill while on duty. He was taken to the hospital but could not survive.
