Karachi: A relative of a police officer who came to visit Abbasi Shaheed Hospital died mysteriously due to bullet injury.
According to the police, a person was killed in a mysterious shooting at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital between Monday and Tuesday night, after which the police collected statements from eyewitnesses and evidence from the scene.
According to DSP Nazimabad Kamal Naseem, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Afzal son of Iqbal, a resident of Liaquatabad and a close relative of former SHO Inspector Adeel. At the time of the incident, Afzal was the son of his friend. Abbasi had come for treatment in the child emergency of Shaheed Hospital for a visit.
Afzal Child was sitting with 3 friends outside the emergency room when someone called for water from inside, he got up to take the water inside and at the same time he sat on the ground. When his friends came to him, he told that something was stuck in his chest under his neck, when his friends saw, blood was flowing from there, on which he was immediately put on a motorcycle and taken to the emergency ward of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. He was taken, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Later, during the investigation, no shells were found at the scene. The police handed over the body of the deceased to the heirs after taking legal action.
An eyewitness present on the spot said that Afzal was sitting on the spot at the time of the incident when a procession passed by the road and someone opened fire. Meanwhile, a person who was carrying water in an emergency was shot in the chest and his friends took him away on a motorcycle. Even after the incident, the sounds of intense firing continued to be heard from the area and often the sounds of firing are heard in this area.
The police say that the legal proceedings are ongoing, a case of murder will be registered against the unknown accused.
