New history in T20 World Cup, 2 hat tricks in one day
Bridgetown: England and Australian bowlers made history in the ongoing T20 World Cup in the West Indies.
In the T20 World Cup, England’s fast bowler Chris Jordan and Australian bowler Pat Cummins set a new record by scoring hat-tricks in the same day. English bowler Chris Jordan scored a hat-trick against USA in Bridgetown on June 23. He took a total of 4 wickets in the match.
Chris Jordan completed the hat-trick in the 19th over of the US innings by dismissing Ali Khan, Nastush Kanjige and Saurabh Naturawalkar in three consecutive balls. Chris Jordan also became the first English bowler to take a hat-trick in T20 International matches.
On the other hand, bowler Pat Cummins scored a hat-trick in Australia’s match against Afghanistan on June 23. Pat Cummins took the wicket of Afghan captain Rashid Khan on the last ball of the 18th over of the match. In the last one i.e. the 20th over, Karim Jannat on the first ball and Gulbadin Naib on the second ball scored a hat trick.
