BEIRUT:  Lebanon’s Hezbollah has said it has targeted 9 Israeli military installations with rockets and armed drones in a coordinated attack.

According to the Reuters report, the tension on the southern border of Lebanon continues for the second day in a row and Hezbollah’s attacks were carried out in response to Israel’s operation on Tuesday, in which a senior commander of Hezbollah was also targeted. was

Hezbollah said in a statement that Katyusha and Flak rockets were fired at 6 Israeli military installations, and al-Manar television reported that more than 100 rockets were fired simultaneously by Hezbollah.

Along with the rockets, the drone strikes targeted the headquarters of Israel’s Northern Command, intelligence headquarters and military barracks, the statement said.

Security sources said that about 30 drone strikes were carried out at a time, which is the longest drone attack by Hezbollah during the last 8 months of war.

It should be noted that the tension on the border between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Israel started in October 2023 with the war between Hamas and Israel, but has intensified after the death of a Hezbollah commander in an Israeli attack two days ago.
