In the attack, 4 soldiers were killed and 7 injured, out of which five are in critical condition.
Israeli soldiers later found evidence of a mine in the building, which turned out to be a trap planted by Hamas.
Among the dead soldiers were Company Commander Major Tal Pshebilsky Shalov, Staff Sergeant Eton Karlsbrunn, Sergeant Almog Shlom and Sergeant Yair Levin. All of them belonged to the detective unit of Givati Brigade. Sergeant Yair Levin was the grandson of Israeli extremist politician Moshe Feiglin.
