Pilgrims allowed to use electric scooters during Hajj
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has allowed pilgrims to use electric scooters (e-scooters) in the current Hajj season.
According to Arab media, 3 specific routes have been created for e-scooters. These include the Muzdalifah-Mina route, a pedestrian route for Jamrat West and a dedicated pedestrian route for Jamrat East. The length of each route is 1.2 km and width is 24 meters to make the journey of e-scooty safer and better.
Saudi officials say that the e-scooter, which travels at a maximum speed of 15 km per hour, is easy to use and will enable pilgrims to travel in less time.
On the other hand, the Saudi Ministry of Health has also introduced a smart robot service near the main area of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah region, through which the required information, health and other matters will be provided to the pilgrims.
