One year after Hardeep Singh’s murder, thousands of people protest against India in Canada
Vancouver: Thousands of people in Canada demonstrated against India on the one year anniversary of Hardeep Singh’s murder.
It has been a year since the murder of Sikh Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nagar in Canada. On this occasion, more than 50,000 people came out on the streets in Vancouver, the Canadian capital, to express solidarity with Pradeep Singh and against the Modi government. Hardeep Singh Nagar’s son and Canadian Member of Parliament Jagmeet Singh also participated in the rally held in Vancouver.
Addressing the rally, Jagmeet Singh said that I want justice for my father, I am looking forward to strict accountability of those responsible. The purpose of participating in the rally is to show that I am a part of this movement. Modi government is using such tactics to suppress the right.
He said Modi government is using such tactics to suppress the right. We are being threatened on Canadian soil by the Indian government. We will not be discouraged. Khalistan will remain. Modi government wants to suppress the truth but its attempt will not succeed.
On the other hand, according to the Al Jazeera TV report, Hardeep Singh Nagar was facing serious threats on Canadian soil. Indian agencies have been constantly threatening to kill him and the leaders of the separate Sikh state of Khalistan.
Before his assassination in June 2023, Hardeep Singh Nagar addressed the Sikh community and said that if anything happened to them, the Indian government would be responsible. In the documentary evidence released by the channel, it can be seen that 2 persons got out of a vehicle and fired at Hardeep Singh Nagar.
3 months after the murder of Hardeep Singh Nagar, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also confirmed the involvement of the Indian government in the murder of Hardeep Singh Nagar
