After a temporary decrease, inflation started to rise again across the country

Islamabad:  The rate of inflation in the country has started to increase again, the rate of inflation has increased by 0.45 percent in the recent week, while the inflation rate has increased by 0.11 percent in the previous week as well.

According to the weekly inflation report issued by the Federal Statistical Office, the prices of 19 essential items including potato, tomato, onion, milk, curd and lentil have increased during the recent week, while the prices of 14 items including flour, eggs, garlic, red chili powder have increased. Essential prices have decreased and prices of 18 items have remained stable.

During the recent week, the price of onion has increased by 33 rupees 39 paise, tomato by 10 rupees 6 paise, potato by 2 rupees 36 paise, banana by 7 rupees 26 paise per dozen, while the price of chicken has increased by 5 rupees 91 paise per kg. Apart from this, spices, jaggery, cigarettes, dal mash are also among the expensive items.

According to the report, the prices of petroleum products decreased during this week, while the price of double bread decreased by 3 rupees 5 paise and eggs became cheaper by 2 rupees 27 paise per dozen.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, prices of rice, chili powder, dry milk, sugar, dal and mung have also become cheaper, while the prices of 18 items, including beef, curd, and tea leaves, have remained unchanged.

The statistics show that during the recent week, the rate of inflation was 15.26% for the group having income up to 17 thousand 732 rupees per month on an annual basis and for the group having income from 17 thousand 733 rupees to 22 thousand 888 rupees per month. Inflation rate was 18.83%.

Similarly, the rate of inflation was 25.04% for the group having income from 22 thousand 889 to 29 thousand 517 rupees per month, and 22.47% for the group having income from 29 thousand 518 rupees to 44 thousand 175 rupees per month.

According to statistics, the rate of inflation for the group having income more than 44 thousand 176 rupees per month has been 19.45 percent.
