The moon of Zul Hijjah was sighted in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh:  The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that the Zul-Hijjah moon was sighted across the country today. The last month of the Islamic calendar has begun.

According to the Saudi media, the statement issued by the Supreme Court has said that today, on the 29th of Dhul-Uqd, testimonies of the sighting of the moon were received in most parts of the country.

The statement said that tomorrow is the 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah. Thus, in Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Adha will be on June 16, while June 15 is Arafat Day.

The moon of Dhul-Hijjah was also seen in Britain, America and Canada including Khilji countries.

Saudi Arabia has made special arrangements for Hajj this year in view of the record number of pilgrims coming from all over the world. The roads have also been painted white to reduce the heat intensity in Arafat.

It should be noted that the meeting of the Rawit Hilal Committee will be held tomorrow, Friday, June 7, to see the moon of Zul Hijjah in Pakistan
