There is no shortage of resources, the Prime Minister will ensure the provision of facilities to foreign investors

Shenzhen:  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that China’s development is an example for all that should be emulated.

During his visit to China, while addressing the ceremony of Pakistan China Business Forum in Shenzhen, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and increase investment.

He said that a business council has been established to facilitate investment in Pakistan. The government of Pakistan is ensuring the provision of facilities to foreign investors and businessmen. Pakistan has all kinds of resources, our biggest strength is our young manpower.

The Prime Minister said that 5 Chinese citizens were killed in a tragic incident of terrorism a few months ago. There is a lot of sadness over this incident and entire Pakistan was saddened over this incident. There is no doubt that China is not only a good friend and neighbor of Pakistan but also a partner in every difficult time. Be it wars, natural calamities like floods or international forums or other global affairs, China has always supported Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the government has taken concrete steps to ensure a foolproof security system for the protection of Chinese citizens. The government will take all possible measures for the security of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan. He said that I assure that we will provide more security to the Chinese citizens than ourselves. It is our promise that no such incident will happen again in the future.

The Prime Minister said that the past has passed, nothing can be achieved by living in the past, yes, but we can learn a lot from the past. That is why we can find new ways of development by achieving something here through mutual consultation.

Meanwhile, Zhu Zhaojiang, the founder and chairman of the Chinese company Transsion Holdings, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Shenzhen. On this occasion, the Chinese company expressed keen interest in increasing investment in its mobile manufacturing unit in Pakistan and investing in 4 sectors in Pakistan: manufacturing of mobile phones, electric bikes, modern agriculture and fintech.

In this regard, the Prime Minister directed the federal ministers and Pakistan’s ambassador to China to prepare an action plan soon in collaboration with Transitional Holdings. On this occasion, Chairman Transian Holdings told the Prime Minister that the company has already established a unit in Pakistan for the production of mobile phones, which has provided employment to more than 5,000 Pakistanis. The company is keenly interested in expanding its investment in mobile phones in Pakistan, which will increase its exports from Pakistan after manufacturing mobile phones.

Earlier, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb while addressing the ceremony said that the government is taking steps to reduce the rate of inflation in Pakistan, inflation is a major problem of Pakistan and as a result of the government’s measures, the economic indicators are going in the right direction. He said that current account deficit will be less than one billion dollars this year.

Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi while addressing the ceremony of Pakistan-China Business Forum said that Shenzhen is an example of progress. The cooperation of the business forum in various fields will be a milestone for the partnership of the two countries.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said on the occasion that Pakistan has vast investment opportunities in information technology, mineral resources and other sectors and SIFC is taking all possible steps to encourage investors.
