Cipher is a reality, national security cannot be compromised, government spokesperson
ISLAMABAD: The government spokesperson has said that the courts should realize that the cipher is a reality and there can be no compromise on national security.
After the decision of the Islamabad High Court on the cipher case, Barrister Raqeel Malik, government spokesperson for legal affairs, said that the cipher is a fact that cannot be denied, the courts should have realized that it is a sensitive matter, any compromise on national security can not be.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the detailed decision of the cipher appeals will come, then it will be shown. The cipher is a fact that cannot be denied.
The government spokesperson said that the national security documents were waved in the meeting and used for political purposes, a copy of the cipher has been lost while the principal secretary recorded a statement in this regard.
He said that the issue of national security was politicized which was a reprehensible move, no country allows its national security to be played with.
Barrister Raqeel Malik said in the news conference that the sovereignty of the country is connected with it on the issue of national security, the prosecution will decide whether to appeal or not after reading the verdict, the courts had to look at this sensitive matter.
