In solidarity with the Palestinians, Israelis are banned from entering the Maldives

Male:  The Maldivian government, expressing solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, imposed a ban on the entry of Israeli citizens into the country.

In a statement issued by the Presidency of the Maldives, it is said that the entry of Israeli passport holders into the country is being banned and the Cabinet has decided to change the rules regarding the entry of Israeli citizens into the country.

According to the statement, the President of Maldives, Mohammed Muizou, will appoint a special representative to help the Palestinians. The country of beautiful islands, Maldives, receives millions of tourists from all over the world every year, including Israelis. Last year, 11 thousand Israeli tourists went to Maldives.

According to a foreign news agency, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised its citizens not to travel to the Maldives and Israeli citizens already in the Maldives to leave the country
