KARACHI: Pakistan’s second communication satellite Paksat MM1 has been launched into space.
According to a Sparco spokesperson, the satellite was sent into orbit from China’s Shichang Satellite Launch Center. The five-ton satellite is equipped with the latest communication equipment. Through this satellite, the fastest internet facility can be provided in the dimensions of Pakistan.

The spokesperson added that the satellite will be launched into orbit at an altitude of 36,000 km above the earth. It may take 3 to 4 days for a satellite to reach orbit from Earth. Apart from e-commerce and e-governance, the satellite will play an important role in promoting economic activities.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while congratulating the entire nation on the launch of PakSat MM1 into Earth orbit said that sending Pakistani satellite into space from China’s Xichang Satellite Launch Center is a manifestation of strong partnership between Pakistan and China.
He said that the satellite will not only breathe a new life in the communication system of Pakistan, but it will provide the fastest internet facility in the entire country. will play a key role.
The Prime Minister said that sending the Pakistani satellite to the earth’s orbit at a distance of 36,000 km is a great achievement of Sparco and related institutions for which the entire nation applauds them. It is a promise of the future, we pray to Allah Almighty that the launch of satellite PakSat MM1 will be a precursor to the improvement of the communication system in the country and great achievements in the space sector.
Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on the occasion of the launch in China that this is a historic day for us, it will improve our communication system. The day is not far when we will send satellites into space with our rocket.
Acting President Yusuf Raza Gilani congratulated the nation on the successful launch of satellite Pak MM1 and appreciated the efforts of scientists and engineers.
