It is expected that American authorities will provide security to Pakistani players and citizens, Foreign Office

ISLAMABAD:  The Foreign Office says that Pakistan is in touch with the US authorities regarding the cricket match.

Spokesperson of the Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a media briefing that they are in touch with the authorities regarding the match of the Pakistan cricket team in America. It is expected that the American authorities will provide security to Pakistani cricketers and citizens.

The spokesman further said that in the talks between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Afghan authorities have assured to take action against the people involved in the Basham incident. We understand that terrorism from Afghanistan is a threat not only to Pakistan but to the whole world.

The spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that Pakistan has received the invitation to the Ukraine Peace Summit and consultations are ongoing
