The sun began to pour fire in New Delhi; Hottest day in Indian history
New Delhi: The Indian capital today recorded the highest temperature in the country’s history at 52.3 Celsius.
According to Indian media, the India Meteorological Department said that this temperature was recorded in Mangeshpur, a suburb of New Delhi on Wednesday, which is 12 degrees higher than expected.
The hottest region in India is Phaludi, a desert region in the state of Rajasthan, where the highest temperature in the country’s history was recorded in 2016, which was 51 degrees.
Delhi’s temperature of 52.3 degrees broke all previous national records, including Rajasthan’s 51 degrees, a release from the India Meteorological Department said.
The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that people of all ages are at high risk of heatstroke under these conditions, while the elderly and frail need the most caution.
In the statement, it is likely that the heat wave in the north-western and central regions of the country will gradually decrease from tomorrow Thursday.
It may be noted that in May 2022, the temperature in some parts of Delhi was recorded at 49.2 degrees Celsius, which was the highest ever recorded.
India’s extreme heat, rains and fog are due to climate change, which has affected temperatures around the world
