Rawalpindi:  23 terrorists were killed in the operations of forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7 soldiers including a captain were martyred.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), security forces killed 23 terrorists in three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 26 and 27, while 7 security personnel were martyred while fighting bravely.

According to ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Peshawar’s Hassan Khel area, in which six terrorists were killed and several hideouts were also destroyed. Captain Hussain Jahangir and Havaldar Shafiqullah were martyred while fighting bravely. Done.

On May 27, 10 terrorists were killed in another operation in Tank district. Meanwhile, in the clash in Bagh area of ​​Khyber district, 7 terrorists were killed, while two terrorists were injured, but five brave security personnel were martyred during the fierce exchange of fire.

The martyrs include 32-year-old Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt of Kahota, 30-year-old Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar of Poonch district, 32-year-old Sepoy Taimur Malik of Leh, 22-year-old Sepoy Nader Saghir of Bagh and 23-year-old Sepoy Muhammad Yasin of Khushab.

A large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the dead terrorists, who were involved in several acts of terrorism against security forces as well as innocent civilians.

ISPR said that sanitization operations were also carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of Sepoy Taimur Shaheed, Sepoy Nader Sagheer Shaheed, Sepoy Muhammad Yasin Shaheed and Lance Naik Syed Danish were performed in Peshawar, which was attended by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, military and civil officials. Martyrs will be buried in their native areas with full military honours.

Later, the Army Chief visited CMH Peshawar and inquired about the welfare of the soldiers injured during the operation. The Army Chief appreciated their high morale and reiterated the nation’s resolve to fight terrorism with full force and passion. Earlier, Corps Commander Peshawar welcomed the Army Chief on his arrival.

Interior Minister’s tribute to the martyred personnel

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi while paying tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives against the terrorists in Khyber district, said that our brave ancestors laid down their lives for the homeland while fighting the terrorists and destroyed the evil intentions of the terrorists. I mixed. The eternal sacrifices of martyred youth will always be remembered.

Mohsin Naqvi also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured youths .
