Earlier, the President of the International Court of Justice, while announcing the verdict, said that the infrastructure of Gaza City was completely destroyed by Israel’s actions and thousands of precious lives were lost and this process is still going on.

President Nawaf Salam added that after millions of people from Gaza arrived in Rafah to seek refuge, Israel started a military operation there as well. At present, the humanitarian situation in Rafah is very painful.

The judgment states that Israel could not satisfy the court with its actions and arguments. Israel has also not ensured the implementation of the previous judgment and has not provided concrete evidence of respect for human rights.

It should be remembered that South Africa had requested emergency measures in the International Court of Justice to order Israel to ‘stop military operations in the Gaza Strip’.

South Africa called the Israeli operations in Gaza a genocide of the Palestinians and pleaded that Israel now wants to destroy Rafah like Gaza. It should be stopped.

It should be remembered that in a similar case in January, the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to take some measures to reduce the horrors of the war, including stopping the operations.

However, after Gaza, Israel announced a major military operation in Rafah, on which its allies, including the United States, warned about the loss of innocent lives in this operation.
