Islamabad High Court: Order to broadcast live all cases of missing persons

ISLAMABAD:  The Islamabad High Court ordered the live broadcast of all cases of missing persons in the recovery case of missing poet Ahmed Farhad, on May 29 Federal Minister for Law, Sector Commander Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI ), Director Intelligence Bureau (IB), has summoned the Secretary of Defense and Home Affairs in his personal capacity.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court issued an 8-page written order in Urdu for the recovery of missing poet Ahmed Farhad.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani in his order ordered live broadcasting of all cases of missing persons and referred the case to Law Minister, Sector Commander ISI, MI, Director IB, Secretary Defense and Interior on May 29. has been directed to appear in person.

The court has said that if the abductees are recovered before the next hearing, a written report should be submitted to the Registrar’s Office.

It should be noted that the Islamabad High Court has for the first time issued an 8-page written order in Urdu and this order was written by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani.

The order said that during the hearing, the court was informed about the PEMRA notification by the journalists, as this case is of important nature, therefore this court allows the proceedings of this case to be reported
