LAHORE: Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed has said that judges are not anyone’s B team, we do not want a fight with anyone, but those who do not respect the judiciary should not expect anything from us.

Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan will move towards practical justice after completion of pre-service training, the new judges have gone through difficult stages and have become part of the judiciary of Punjab today, who must remember that doing justice is an attribute of Allah Almighty and a A judge is chosen by Allah who is fearless, free from greed, courageous and wise, the office of a judge is not a job to be feared.
He said that currently around 14 lakh cases are pending in the District Judiciary of Punjab, 1760 judges have been appointed in the Punjab Judiciary by adding new judges, while there is still a shortage of 800 judicial officers.
The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court said that despite the shortage, our judges work the most to compete with the world, the use of video link is an important need of time to reduce the pending cases, very soon in Punjab records of testimonies and Video facility will be introduced for court proceedings.
Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan urged the judges to master information technology so that ADR can be fully utilized, as alternative justice systems have been established across the world.
The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court said that the main reason for the delay in the cases is the strike culture, the courts were closed for 73 days in Lahore in the past and the rights of the people to access justice were abolished by implementing the jungle law in the capital of the province. was done
He said that more than 90 percent of lawyers are professionals, I hope that professional lawyers will support us in ending the strike culture.
