Hockey Federation employees lose 5.5 months of salaries
The players have been heard for playing the final of the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament, but the employees of the Hockey Federation once again protested.
President Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Tariq Bugti and Secretary Rana Mujahid have been missing from the office for a month, both of them have camped in Islamabad on the pretext of national team camp.
After spending time with the team in Ipoh, Malaysia, the federation officials are now busy preparing to travel with the team to Europe.
On the other hand, due to the absence of both officials, derelicts have set up camp at the PHF headquarters in Lahore. Eid is approaching but the Hockey Federation staff are still waiting for 5 months salary.
On Eid-ul-Fitr, the dues of 3, 3 months were definitely paid to these employees, but till now, a total of 5, 5 months salary including May salary is yet to come.
The current government, which has taken up the task of reviving the national sport, has given full patronage to the players who performed well in the Azlan Shah tournament and showered prizes on them, and has also given a grant of 6 crores to the federation.
Like the Azlan Shah tournament, the government is bearing all the expenses including the camp for the tour of Europe
