Operation against illegal constructions in Murree, government official injured in the attack

Murree:  A government official was injured in an attack by miscreants during an operation against illegal constructions.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, a grand operation clean-up was launched against encroachments and illegal constructions on forest land in Murree. Meanwhile, action was taken in Bansara Gali, Cart Road, Short Cut Road, Upper Jhika Gali Road, Circuit Road, Lakot Expressway, Darya Gali, Shivala and the administration demolished several plazas along with illegal buildings and constructions.

During the operation, miscreants attacked the anti-encroachment administration and staff, in which a government employee Daniyal was injured due to stone pelting, who has been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance. The police have registered an FIR against the miscreants and started raids to arrest the attackers.

The district administration has said that this is the first phase of the operation. Illegal construction plazas and encroachments have been demolished with the help of machinery. In this regard, there were several reports that illegal plazas and encroachments are rampant in Murree. Chief Minister Punjab has rejected all the pressure and approved the operation against encroachment, keeping this in mind, the action against encroachment will continue in the coming days.

On the other hand, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has praised the Murree administration and said that she congratulates those who acted bravely for starting the operation against encroachment on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He said that the land transfer staff of the Forest Department suffered injuries for upholding the law. Strict action will be taken against the violators
