The Hague: The International Criminal Court is likely to issue arrest warrants for the Israeli Prime Minister, Defense Minister and three Hamas leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh.
According to the International News Agency, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Karim Khan has said that he has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yves Gallant and Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Mohammad Def and Ismail Haniyeh. Application for release has been submitted.
According to the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), he took this step in the context of the war in Gaza for the past 7 months, in which nearly 40 thousand precious human lives have been lost.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan added that Israel-Hamas war has committed serious violations of human rights, innocent civilians have been killed and property has been damaged, as well as officials of international aid organizations have been killed.
According to Karim Khan, millions of people have been displaced by this war, women and children who had no role in the war have suffered the most, health centers have been destroyed and infrastructure has become ruins.
It should be remembered that the US senators wrote a threatening letter to their President Joe Biden, informing him of the possible arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, saying that the International Criminal Court must learn a lesson.
