ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that digitization will widen the tax net.
A delegation of Pakistan Retail Business Council (PRBC) led by Chairman PRBC Ziyad Bashir met Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb in Finance Division. Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervez Malik was also present.
The PRBC delegation appreciated the steps taken by the government to improve the economic conditions in the country. He briefed the Finance Minister on the challenges faced by retail businesses.
He highlighted the need to include the non-tax paying, undocumented retail sector in the COTEX net and made suggestions to encourage documented businesses.
