<\/p>\nA wave of grief, anger and frustration has swept across Pakistani celebrities\u2019 social media this week as stars reacted to the deaths of 14 newborns in the PIMS fire and a string of other tragedies, questioning how many more lives must be lost before those responsible are held accountable.<\/p>\n
Actor Sonya Hussyn shared a news report on Instagram about a distressed family protesting outside a private hospital in Karachi\u2019s Nazimabad area.<\/p>\n
Calling the situation a sign of how far things had deteriorated, she wrote that the incident \u201ccould be a potential case of human trafficking\u201d. \u201cThings have reached a terrifying point in Pakistan,\u201d she wrote, describing the incident as a \u201chorrifying reality that demands immediate action\u201d and urging authorities to wake up.<\/p>\n

How many more girls have to suffer before enough is enough?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n She said her heart was with \u201cthe families who lost their newborns at PIMS, with Hina Javaid, and with every woman and girl who had faced unimaginable violence\u201d, praying that they be granted\u00a0sabr<\/em>\u00a0and justice.<\/p>\n She added that no tear or injustice goes unseen and that everyone would one day be held accountable before God. \u201cMay Allah protect our children and women. These 14 kids passed away before even opening their eyes; there is a lot of negligence,\u201d she said, adding that she could not begin to describe what the bereaved parents were going through.<\/p>\n Ansari said she had recorded the video to question Health Minister Mustafa Kamal over his treatment of the victims\u2019 families. \u201cThis is not the way to treat or speak to people. For God\u2019s sake, think of how you\u2019re behaving,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Questioning the minister\u2019s conduct, she added: \u201cYou can\u2019t scold them at the moment when they\u2019re going through such grief.
