Indian actor Imran Khan confirmed his long-awaited return to Bollywood after a decade-long hiatus with an upcoming Netflix film,\u00a0Adhure Hum Adhure Tum.<\/p>\n
Khan confirmed the project in\u00a0an interview\u00a0with\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter India, saying, “I just finished shooting a new movie. It\u2019s my first movie in 10 years. It\u2019s called\u00a0Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It\u2019s for Netflix and it is scheduled to come out at the end of this year. It\u2019s a grown-up romantic comedy, age-appropriate to where I am now.”<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0Gulf News, Khan was last seen in\u00a0Katti Batti\u00a0(2015), opposite Kangana Ranaut, and later made a cameo appearance in\u00a0Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. However, fans have been waiting to see him take on a leading role again, reminiscent of his performances in\u00a0Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na\u00a0and\u00a0Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the upcoming film, Khan revealed that he would be sharing the screen with young actor Gurfateh Pirzada.<\/p>\n
As per Indian media reports, the actor also stated that reuniting with director Danish Aslam made the project feel like a natural next step in both their careers. “The movie is just like what the team of\u00a0Break Ke Baad\u00a0would be doing 15 years later in life. It\u2019s a natural progression,” he said.<\/p>\n
Khan added, “Danish and I now have collective life experience. He\u2019s been married, I\u2019ve been through a divorce. It\u2019s just the film we should make 15 years later. This is very much a personal project that came from the creative urge of wanting to tell a story and working with friends.”<\/p>\n
The actor revealed that filming had\u00a0wrapped and the project was in post-production. “We are looking to release it once the streaming platform decides on the date,”\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n
After a prolonged absence from the screen, Khan’s confirmation of his return marks one of Bollywood’s most anticipated comebacks, according to Indian media.<\/p>\n
