Karachi: Nabil Zafar, a well-known actor and producer of the Pakistani showbiz industry, explained the reason for being against Indian films.
Nabeel Zafar recently participated in a podcast where he talked about Indian films playing in Pakistani cinemas.
The actor said that the owners of our theaters want Indian films to be played in Pakistan because they want to play their own strength and it is known that cinemas do good business with Indian films, but I do not want our country to play. I broadcast Indian content.
He said that I am not against Indian films or dramas, but I believe that if India does not buy our dramas, films, then why should we play their films in our cinemas.
Nabil Zafar said that India’s population is one and a half billion while our population is only 25 crore, at least they should buy our material according to the population ratio.
The actor said that we Pakistanis are very hospitable and big-hearted, when an Indian comes to Pakistan, our shopkeepers do not take money from them for anything or food out of respect, while our actors are treated with such love in India. There is no behavior.
He said that we all have seen how our actors ran away from India and came to their homeland Pakistan, we are much better than India.Nabil Zafar said that if Indian films are shown in Pakistani cinemas, then my bet is that they should also play Pakistani films in their cinemas, even if the film is a flop or a hit.
The actor said that the Indian industry doesn’t even buy our dramas, his life channel was open on which Pakistani dramas were aired but now that too has been closed.
