T20 World Cup; Muhammad Nabi holds an “unpopular record”

The team’s senior batsman Mohammad Nabi, who played in the semi-finals of any ICC event for the first time, claimed an “unpopular record”.

Afghanistan’s senior batsman Muhammad Nabi made the unwanted record of 8 wickets for Afghanistan and 4 wickets without any runs in the T20 World Cup.

Earlier in the first semi-final, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 9 wickets after a one-sided contest and qualified for the final of the event.

In the match played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first, but the entire team returned to the pavilion after scoring 56 runs in just 11.5 overs.
