After the defeat to South Africa in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup, Rashid Khan, the captain of the Afghan team, made a statement.

In the semi-final match played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first, but the entire team returned to the pavilion after scoring 56 runs in just 11.5 overs. Zazai scored 10 runs.

Chasing the target, the South African team achieved the target in 8.5 overs for the loss of one wicket.
