T20 World Cup: Pakistan’s first victory, defeat Canada by 7 wickets

New York:  Pakistan defeated Canada by 7 wickets in ICCT Twenty World Cup.

In the 22nd match of the event played in New York, Pakistan achieved the target of 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the 18th over.

Mohammad Rizwan was outstanding for Pakistan by scoring unbeaten 53 runs. Captain Babar Azam was out for 33, Saeem Ayub 6 and Fakhar Zaman 4 runs.

Usman Khan returned to the pavilion not out after scoring 2 runs.

Dillon Hilliger took 2 wickets while Jeremy Gordon took 1 wicket for Canada.

Earlier, batting first on Pakistan’s invitation, Canada scored 106 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Aaron Johnson scored 52 runs for Canada. Skipper Saad Bin Zafar 10, Navneet Dhaliwal 4, Pragat Singh and Shreyas Mowa 2, 2, Nicklas Curtin 1 and Ravinderpal Singh 0 were dismissed.

Kaleem Sana scored 13 and Dillon Hilliger scored 9 runs and returned to the pavilion not out.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf took 2, 2 wickets while Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 1, 1 wicket
