Guilt over atrocities in Gaza, Bollywood actress

New Delhi:  Indian actress Kani Kasruti dismissed criticism for expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people at the Cannes Film Festival.

Kani Kasrouti attended the Cannes red carpet in a white dress and a purse resembling a watermelon, through which she highlighted the symbol of Palestinian resistance. Kani Kasruti was heavily criticized by Hindu extremists in India.

In an interview to India Today, she dismissed the critics and said that she doesn’t mind the criticism and is used to it.

He said that many things are going wrong in the world at the moment, I am very worried about the plight of the Palestinians, I expressed solidarity with the Palestinians in Cannes. I was also thinking of making a map of Gaza on my dress, but I decided to wear white, which is the color of the Palestinian flag.

Kani Kasruti said that I am a true Christian, but every time I feel happy about something, I feel guilty at the same time that there is so much cruelty in the world and I am happy here. Why am I the only one getting blessings?

He said that many things have been going on since last year which makes me feel hopeless. She could not be indifferent to the oppressed in this happiness, because the conditions of the world at that time were not right.

He said that some people criticize me that I support Gaza but why don’t I talk about Israel or Ukraine? I don’t care about these people, it’s everyone’s right to question, but we all have our own views
